Tracy's BioTracy’s Bio. Having struggled with weight and body image for the majority of my childhood and into my early adulthood years, I understand the challenges we face day-to-day trying to balance work, home, family, and of course , caring for ourselves.  Growing up as the “chubby” kid wasn’t fun, but I had no idea how to change it and unfortunately, no one else really did either, aside from telling me to “move more and eat less.” Yes, in theory, that is partially true, but there’s a lot more to being healthy and feeling good about yourself than the number on the scale.

At the age of 18, I decided I had lived long enough in this body and I started experimenting with every diet, pill, and fitness craze I could find.  I managed to go from 190 lbs. at my heaviest, down to 125 lbs. at my thinnest. Needless to say, my methods at that time were not appropriate as I was coming from a place of no education. As it turns out, relying on fitness magazines and word-of-mouth ideas from my other 20-something friends was not the way to go.  Throughout my 20s my weight ballooned up and down with my sizes fluctuating anywhere from a 4 to a 12. Not only was this hard on my body, but it was especially hard on my self-esteem.

After a few years of bouncing through retail management jobs and then a desk job, my turning point came when I got involved with Montville Adventure Bootcamp, run by my fitness mentor and good friend Jessica Federici. Her program really spoke to me as it was a) pretty badass and b) incredibly supportive and not intimidating. Feeling good about myself finally started to come naturally, and my body started looking how I wanted it to look. Over time, I began educating myself properly and realized that a career in fitness was exactly what I wanted. With Jessica’s support and encouragement, I began teaching group classes at her studio and eventually branched out on my own into personal training. I have worked with many different people in the fitness industry and always come back to the ones that make me feel good about what I do and who I am.

Health and fitness is not a one-size-fits-all answer for anyone! You don’t have to be a size 0 to be healthy, nor do you have to eat boiled chicken and salad greens at every meal. I started Everyday Fitness Solutions to help empower my clients with approaches and methods that change habits and help them build healthier lives, one step at a time. Whatever your goal is, we will get there together.
